Admission season is a delivery problem, not a marketing problem
For a school or a university, the weeks around admission are the highest-stakes communication of the year. Result notices, viva schedules, payment deadlines, hall assignments, orientation timings — each one is a message that must reach a specific guardian on a specific day, and each one generates a queue at the office when it does not.
Institutions rarely have a marketing problem here. They have a delivery problem wearing a marketing costume.
Three channels, three jobs
- SMS is the deadline channel. A payment cut-off or a viva time needs to arrive on a handset within seconds, on any phone, without data. Nothing else does that job.
- Email is the document channel. Admission letters, fee breakdowns, prospectus PDFs and anything a guardian will need to find again in March.
- WhatsApp is the question channel. Guardians reply. They ask what a form means and whether a document is acceptable. A one-way blast cannot hold that conversation.
Most campuses run all three today — in three different places, with three different contact lists, and a front office absorbing every message that failed to arrive.
What consolidation gives an institution
On BeSends the student list lives once. Segment by department, batch, year or fee status, and a notice reaches exactly the right group. Per-department roles mean the Registrar’s office and the Accounts section can each send their own notices without seeing each other’s lists. Every send carries an audit trail, so when a guardian says "we were never informed", the answer is a timestamp rather than an argument.
Messages can also fire straight from the systems you already run. If your LMS or student management system knows a fee is unpaid, it can trigger the reminder itself — no export, no copy-paste, no one forgetting on the day it mattered.
Sizing it for a campus
A department can start on Corporate — US$40 a month, roughly ৳4,900 — with 4,000 SMS, 150,000 emails and 8,000 WhatsApp messages across three numbers, plus automation and unused credits that roll over.
A full institution in admission season is Apex territory: US$120 a month, about ৳14,900, for 15,000 SMS, 500,000 emails and 30,000 WhatsApp messages across ten numbers, a dedicated sending identity and IP, in-country data residency, compliance and audit documentation, a named engineer and a written service level. If your volume runs past that, high-volume plans are quoted from US$200 to US$1,200 a month against your actual monthly numbers.
Every new account starts on the free 7-day trial — 2,000 emails, 50 SMS and 100 WhatsApp messages, no card asked for. If you would rather test the paid gateways end to end first, the US$1 Try Now pack gives you a small credit on all three channels for three days.
